When the London Transport Museum decided to celebrate the Tube's 100th anniversary with an exhibition, it needed a poster to publicise the event. Drawing on a palette of symbols, themes, images and corporate solours, eleven ideas were developed. The sub-title of the exhibition- '100 years of Underground Electric Railways' - was the source of the idea for the chosen poster. Apart from creating awareness, requests for copies of the poster were being received before it even became available for sale.
